Arlington Virginia is Located directly across the Potomac River from Washington DC in Northern Virginia. The estimated population of Arlington County Virginia at the start of 2004 was 198,739, an approximate increase of 5% compared to that of 2000. With a boundary of only 26 square miles the population density is approximately 7,700 per square mile, which is higher then cities such as Seattle, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

Arlington Virginia has a diverse and multicultural community. More then one quarter of the current residents were born outside of the US and roughly 40% of the citizens are of Hispanic, African-American, Asian, or multi-racial. More then 60% of adults over the age of 25 have higher education consisting of bachelors, graduate, or professional degree making Arlington not only ethnically and culturally diverse, but also a well educated community. With an incredibly low unemployment rate of only 1.6%, Arlington Virginia is amongst the lowest in the region.

Arlington, aside from the being the home of the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery, is well known for its well-managed growth and upscale residential neighborhoods. In Arlington alone there are more then 100 Community Service Organizations and more then 50 civic associations proving that citizens of this incredible community are very actively involved.
