Westover is a neighborhood in Arlington, Virginia on the National Register of Historic Places centered on Washington Boulevard between North McKinley Road and North Longfellow Street. Located in the 22205 zip code and with a population of just over 2,000, Westover is a true model of mid-century Urbanism with a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood where residents are able to walk to shops, work, and public transportation.

The Westover Village Civic Association is an active group of residents dedicated to creating and maintaining the close-knit connections of the community while constantly striving to improve the neighborhood. They maintain a website and active social media sites (Facebook and Nextdoor) where community members are kept up to date on neighborhood events such as Fall Festivals, Halloween parades, Easter egg hunts, charity marathons, and other items of interest.

The park frequently hosts the Arlington Babe Ruth Baseball/Cal Ripken Division and other local kids’ teams. Swanson Middle School, built in 1939, was the first junior high school in Virginia.
